Remembering the C.S. Lewis quote, 'surprised by joy,'
I've been pleasantly surprised by my recent interest
in blogging. Previously, I had the attitude that blogs
were just more reading & information in a world already
cluttered with way too much information and way too many egos.
However, I've been pleasantly surprised to see how much the
creative urge to write and post has affected my mood. I had
simply forgotten how much fun creativity & play can be.
It's not that I'm a great writer or artist; it's simply the fact that
I'm exercising that other, little used part of my brain. Blogging
has helped me to balance my way too rational, left-brain
thinking and doing with more right-brain intuitive, creative work.
It's also taught me to be more mindful of the small things in
life that previously I would have overlooked in my rush
'to do' instead of 'to be.'
