Hometown Visit - Owosso, Michigan

After decades of living in Texas my sister, Janel, and I took a trip back home to visit Fran & Bill, our oldest sister and her friend.  Fran still lives in one of the towns where we grew up and which holds many fond memories.

We had great fun visiting with Fran and Bill and enjoying their house and garden, which previously we'd only seen in photos.

Floating in their above ground pool and enjoying the hot tub were
almost daily treats.

Coming from hot, humid Texas it was a pleasure being outside in the more moderate temps of Central Michigan.  We even had jacket weather in the mornings.

For a town of about 15,000, Owosso gives residents numerous opportunities to enjoy natural beauty.
Bill drove us to the Upper Peninsula to visit Mackinac Island.

On the way back we visited the small town of Lewiston, where our grandparents used to live.

Tally's Tavern, an old haunt of our grandfather's, was still in business.

Great visit, great fun and like all good trips we had to come home to
get some rest.
